The area

Crab Island is another major attraction, drawing boaters to its shallow turquoise water and festive atmosphere.
Just east of Destin, Miramar Beach feels more spacious and resort-oriented. It features wide beaches, beachfront condominiums, golf, outlet shopping at Silver Sands and the restaurants, shopping and entertainment of Grand Boulevard and Sandestin.
