The area

Destin and Miramar Beach deliver the classic Emerald Coast vacation: brilliant white-sand beaches, clear Gulf water, boating, fishing, waterfront dining and plenty of entertainment. The area is energetic and convenient, with everything from laid-back seafood restaurants to upscale shopping and resort communities.

Destin is best known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village.” Its harbor is the center of the action, offering fishing charters, dolphin cruises, watersports, restaurants and the lively HarborWalk Village. Crab Island is another major attraction, drawing boaters to its shallow turquoise water and festive atmosphere.

Just east of Destin, Miramar Beach feels more spacious and resort-oriented. It features wide beaches, beachfront condominiums, golf, outlet shopping at Silver Sands and the restaurants, shopping and entertainment of Grand Boulevard and Sandestin.

Together, Destin and Miramar Beach appeal to visitors who want beautiful beaches with abundant dining, shopping, boating and family activities — all within a lively, established vacation destination.
