The area
Scenic Highway 30A offers a more refined and community-focused version of the Emerald Coast experience. Stretching along approximately 26 miles of coastline in South Walton, it connects a collection of distinctive beach towns, each with its own architecture, personality and atmosphere.
Communities such as Seaside, WaterColor, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach, Seagrove, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach are known for walkability, bike paths, locally owned restaurants, boutique shopping and thoughtfully designed public spaces. Rather than one large commercial destination, 30A feels like a series of intimate coastal villages connected by scenic roads and trails.
The area combines white-sand beaches with rare coastal dune lakes, state parks and extensive natural surroundings. Visitors come for biking, paddleboarding, outdoor dining, community events and a slower, more polished beach lifestyle.
